Wow.  It's been awhile.

I just got back from Kristen Yoder's Senior recital.  She is so good, despite the fact that she had a rediculous amount of tension in her right arm.  I LUV the romanian folk dances.  They were my favorite part of the recital.

I am really lucky to have such a good/ easygoing accompanist.  I'm also lucky that I have such a repor (sp.?) with her, that I have had her as my accompanist the entire time I've been at sam (save one semester when our schedules didn't line up).  I'm glad that I didn't have to switch every semester, or end up with dr. kim.  I have heard nothing but horror stories about her.  I heart Kristen Yoder.

I hate being so dang busy.  I really do.  I have no time to spend on the things I really enjoy, like Paul or my other close friends.  Paul and I went on a date last night for the first time in I dont know how long.  It was fun!!!  We went to a Tapas bar...it's traditional Spanish appetizer food ('Tapas' is Spanish for 'Appetizer'.....'El Nino is Spanish for....'the Nino').  I had Quail for the first time...and who knew chocolate chipotle sauce could be so awesome?  It was very good.  Very fun.  YAY date!

I am thrilled about the Carmina rehearsal monday night.  My HS choir director sings with the masterworks chorus....it would be so uber neat if I could stand by him for the performance(if we end up doing a mixed arrangement)......his voice makes me drool.  OOOOH or Rachel Haney or Erin Clements.....their voices are also drool worthy.  I really want to work with the conductor...he's supposed to be awesome.  Neat. YAY.  Life is going eerily well.  Good for me.

goobye friends,
Lauren

Were you Aware?

A Sam Houston alumnus is the Prime Minister of Taiwan.

Not a Joke.

SCREW DAN RATHER!!!!  THIS dude is the F'IN PRIME MINISTER of TAIWAN!!!!

For those of you wondering, a Prime Minister is a bit like a President, sort of, in a way.

School has begun!  AAAAHHHH!!!!!

actually, I'm only taking 12 hours, so life will not be that hard.  Oh, and a recital.  I have a recital coming up in the beginning of next spring.  Adam H and I are doing a joint one.  Neat.

Apparently, it isn't blog time, as per Paul.  bye for now.
